Singing Kindergartners

On the last day of school before the 17-day Christmas break, the Kindergarten performed their Christmas program. It only lasted about 20 minutes, but it was absolutely wonderful! The kids sang their hearts out and the parents acted like papparazzi--with camera flashes going off constantly and digital cameras recording the show! Jonah and Micah were on opposite sides of the 3rd row of the platform, and they were both kind of hidden behind the children in front of them, so I didn't get any great pictures of them. (Jonah is wearing a green shirt, and he's behind the boy in the white shirt with the dark tie. Micah is wearing a red shirt, and he's behind the girl in the black and white dress.) The following is a short 8-second clip of their favorite song. For weeks before the performance, they sang that song constantly. They loved it! Micah would plink out the rhythm on the piano keys at home and sing it at the same time! Both boys usually shy away from singing in front of people, so I was pleasantly surprised to see Jonah singing along with the program. Even though Micah tried to hide behind the girls in front of him, I know he was singing too. I was so proud of both of them and I truly enjoyed watching the whole program and feeling the excitement in the air! (Pause my blog music at the bottom of the page before playing the video.)
