Josh took the young men in the ward on a campout July 18-20, to replace the week-long scout camp that was originally scheduled for in July, but only 2 boys had signed up for. He realized that if he went locally, for a smaller amount of time, he would be able to accommodate for some of the teenage boys' work schedules, and would have a higher amount of young men who would be able to go, and that was true: 8 boys signed up to go. He took them to Iron Lake, and while there, they hiked one day to Hat Creek Lakes and one day to Taylor Mountain. The boys spent the days fishing, swimming, hiking, eating, and hanging out. They were originally going to stay 3 nights and 4 days, but they ended up coming home at the end of the 3rd day because they were all wiped out!
Josh really enjoyed going to camp. He specifically liked being in the great outdoors, having a break from work, and spending time with his sons. On the day that they hiked to Taylor Mountain, Josh found a record of the last time he took a scout troop camping/hiking up there, which was fun to reflect on too! The twins enjoyed being with their friends for a few days, and taking a break from work as well.

The boys had a swim-check the first day there, but it was a bit chilly and it took them several moments before they were all ready to jump fully in and start swimming. |

Tyler, Jonah, Nathan, Micah, DJ, Dylan, and Carson Brother Turner came on the first night and brought his son Edward. After he left the next day, he took Nathan back to Salmon and Brother Oliverson came up in his place and brought his son Erik, too. |
