While camping at Meadow Lake, we love to: fish in the gorgeous mountain lake, hike along the marked trails, play in the level sand box built for tents, and most of all relax around the campfire! We ate a yummy tinfoil dinner, a delicious dutch oven meal, and cooked some food over the fire.
This year we even added a little field trip by visiting the historical Charcoal Kilns several miles down the road. Josh and I have never stopped there before, even though we've driven by the area over 200 times in the last 8 years we've lived in Salmon! I'm so glad we took the drive, it was so worth it!
It was an absolutely wonderful camping trip! We enjoyed being in the great outdoors and spending time with our dear friends! We can't wait to go again next year!

Looks pretty awesome! We might just have to try camping there...are usual favorite camping spot was up at Stanley Lake, but it's been closed since they are trying to get control of the beetle infestation in the lodgepole pines...
We went fishing up there a few weeks ago. So much fun! I want to go back there and camp. We have stopped at the Charcoal Kilns a few times over the years. The kids still like to stop there. We are wondering--is there another lake up higher above Meadow Lake that you can only hike to? Someone told us that once but we have never checked it out.
Kanyon looks so cute in that tree! Great photo. I also think I could stare at the nature photos you took for hours. What a beautiful, BEAUTIFUL place you have to enjoy.
