Coonskins

The boys got new coonskin hats as souvenirs of our trip to the Shoshone Ice Caves at the beginning of August. They each chose which hat they wanted, the purchases were made, and we headed outside for some photos of them on the antique sculptures by the site.

After walking out of the store, Micah decided he wanted a different hat. He threw a tantrum the whole time we were climbing on sculptures and taking pictures. When it was time to leave, Kimi (our sister for the day--lucky for Micah) took pity on him, took him back inside the store, and traded hats. And that's why Micah is not smiling until the very last photo after we piled into the car!

Aren't the ice caves just cool? Literally too.. hehehe... We went to the ice caves once on our way back from Stanley. It was probably about 4 years ago. If I'd known you lived in Salmon we would have stopped and visited!
Looks like you had fun!
