HOCO 2021

The twins' final high school homecoming week was September 13-18; it was really close to the beginning of the school year, which was fast! The twins didn't participate in the powder puff or buff puff, but Jonah was part of the Senior skit & lip sync. For the skit, they had pairs of kids dress up as each other and answer questions as they were acting like the other person in an interview. It was hilarious!

Jonah dressed up as Robyn Chaffin, and she
acted like him. They were pretty convincing!

Garrett Rich as Tryshelle was hilarious!

Senior class lip sync got everyone moving!

Mosh pit!

On Wednesday, Kanyon dressed up for the day's theme of "Bikers vs. Surfers". He generally doesn't dress up for things like this, but any reason to dress up in tank tops and shorts (his favorite style of clothes) is reason enough for him! I think he nailed the look!

Friday was the Homecoming parade down Main Street. I've missed it the past 4 years due to working at West J, so even though I had some work meetings in Leadore that same day, I left them early so I could watch the parade!

The Homecoming Dance was on Saturday night. Jonah asked Lexi Piippo from Leadore. They went with Nathan and Ele's group, and had pictures and dinner at her grandpa's house before the dance.

Micah's date was Robyn Chaffin. He was in the group with Boaz, Erik, Tyler, and Mason Semmler. They ate dinner at our house and played some Jackbox games before heading into the dance.

It was tricky having both twins in different groups: Josh went in and took pictures of Jonah at the same time Micah's group met at our place for photos. They both had a great time, and we enjoyed hosting the kids at our place. Listening to the kids play Jackbox games was a highlight for me: I laughed SO much that night! Josh and I used to dream about having our home be the hangout place for teenagers when our kids got old enough, and I'm so grateful for times like these when that dream becomes a reality!
