playing in his father's shadows

Kanyon has had many more opportunities than his older brothers to spend a lot of one-on-one time with his dad at Josh's work. Due to the fact that I work full-time, and Kanyon has had part-time school days the last 3 years, Josh has picked him up on many occasions and taken him to work with him at the golf course. Sometimes Josh works on fixing things in the shop so Kanyon hits golf balls around on the cement or nearby grass, sometimes Kanyon rides around with Josh on the utility cart as he takes care of business on the course, and sometimes Josh takes him to play golf on the 9-hole course. Regardless of what Josh has to do at work, Kanyon likes being able to go there with him and being alone with him. Kanyon loves being on the golf course, and understands several rules already about the game of golf. He enjoys playing and practicing on the greens and is getting so good at hitting the ball properly. One day in October, after Josh had picked him up from daycare, I stopped by and took some photos of Kanyon peacefully playing by himself on the course:
