Hansel & Gretel-approved Graham Houses

We finally made graham cracker houses together on December 23rd, just in time for Christmas! We usually do it earlier in the month, but it was hectic with the boys' sports, school, and scouts schedules, so we weren't able to all have an evening together to do it until then. My first batch of frosting was kind of runny, and took forever to set up, which was frustrating for the boys. So I made another batch, which was much better, and the candy decorating went much faster than the building of the houses did. Due to the frosting mishap, the boys altered their houses a little bit because they got tired of holding them in place before the frosting would set up. I liked seeing the different creations they came up with as a result, though!

The final creations!

Ammon's 2 small triangular houses with square roofs and decorative yards!

Jonah's tall-roofed house. He struggled putting the steep roof on,
as evidenced by the amount of frosting around the base and roof!

Micah's house with the 3-coned roof. I thought that was such a great idea!

Kanyon's house never set up, so it became an army hide-out
with a satellite on its roof. It was on an island, and a raft
was floating on water to get to it. Very creative, indeed!

My symmetrical house. I'm boring and predictable that way!
