This past spring, Jonah and Micah both got glasses. Now I have 4 sons that wear glasses, and I've learned that having 4 young boys who wear glasses results in a lot of this:
damaged, broken frames & lenses!!
I can't believe the amount of glasses we've gone through in the past few months...
The lens replacement marathon started in July when Jonah lost his glasses in the lake (read HERE for the full story).
In August, Kanyon threw a ball at Micah's face, and it broke his glasses. We got a new pair to replace those.
In September, Micah accidentally left his NEW glasses at the football field after practice, and they got stepped on and destroyed. So we ordered him yet ANOTHER replacement pair.
At the end of September, Kanyon was playing some rock-tossing game and accidentally whacked himself in the head, which resulted in his glasses breaking. He'd already had two replacements earlier this year in the spring, so we opted for him to just wear an old pair of glasses until his {already scheduled} eye doctor appointment in October for a new prescription.
It is frustrating trying to keep active, busy, physical boys from destroying and/or losing their glasses!!! They haven't tried to ruin them on purpose, but accidents are frequent with my boys, and somehow that always results in glasses needing to be replaced!
