Fall 2014 Top Ten

It's December 1st!!! I truly can't believe how quickly this year is passing! So, with the welcome of the new winter season, I'm bidding farewell to the fall with our completed Fall Top Ten list (a snapshot of what we looked forward to/accomplished during the fall season).

1. Attend the Eastern Idaho State Fair
[Completed 9/3] This was the first time we've taken all the boys with us to it, and it turned out to be a successful and super fun day for all of us!

2. Celebrate Jonah & Micah's birthday
[Completed 9/22] Each boy invited one friend, and we spent the afternoon at an outdoor family fun center in Rigby. They had a blast!

3. See Katy Perry in concert
[Completed 9/29] Josh and I enjoyed her concert--it was well worth the 6 month wait from when we purchased the tickets!

4. Watch Ammon's XC meets
[Completed 11/1] Ammon's freshman XC season started strong and ended strong, but he had a rough time about half-way through after he had an accident while helping some people move furniture and hurt his knee in the process.

5. Go camping at Challis Hot Springs
[Completed 10/5] We had a quick overnight trip to the Hot Springs. We soaked a few times while we were camping after Ammon's XC race there, and we were glad it was nice weather, too.

6. Go to Jonah & Micah's football games
[Completed 10/11] Micah's jersey # was 63, and Jonah's was 74. Their season lasted 2 months, and they had 6 games. It was a good learning experience for them, but not necessarily an enjoyable one.

7. Host our pumpkin patch sale days
[Completed 10/25] This was our 6th and final year hosting a pumpkin patch. The weather was awesome, and we sold out of all our pumpkins by the final weekend of sales.

8. Go trick or treating for Halloween
[Completed 10/31] The three younger boys went trick-or-treating 3 times! First, at the Merchant's Trick-or-Treat, then at the church party on Halloween evening, and then on Halloween night I drove them around neighborhoods in town to go, too. It was the first time they've trick-or-treated in town, and their candy buckets were overflowing!

9. Celebrate Josh's birthday
[Completed 11/9] I loved celebrating Josh's birthday with him this year. We ate out twice, had family over for a steak dinner, went to the hot springs, and went out dancing with some friends, too--and I was having so much fun that I didn't take a single picture of any of it!

10. Spend Thanksgiving with the Perkins family
[Completed 11/27] All of Kala's siblings were able to come, and we had so much fun with everyone! We ate delicious food, played games, laughed, and talked. It was a wonderful, relaxing Thanksgiving.
