Schoolhouse Rocks!

Jonah and Micah's 4th grade class performed the play "Schoolhouse Rock Live Jr" on April 21. They'd been working on the play in music class ever since January. The play is based on the 1970's Saturday Morning Cartoon series. They sang 6 songs, and acted out 4 of them. For the other two songs, the cartoon was projected onto the screen, and the class sang along. It was a really fun show, and each student had multiple parts including speaking, acting, and singing.

The first song was "The Preamble". Micah was a banner holder, and Jonah was a flag waver.

The second song was "Shot Heard Around the World", and the class sang to the cartoon projected onto the back wall of the stage. After that, Jonah had his speaking part.

The next song was "3 is a Magic Number", and both boys held number signs during it. After the number song, Micah had his speaking part.

Then they performed the song "Interplanet Janet". Jonah and Micah were both planets: Micah was Mercury, and Jonah was Venus.

The next song was "Conjunction Junction". It was another projection of the original cartoon:

The final song in the program was "Interjections", which was the class favorite! It's such a fun song!!! Jonah played the Doctor giving the injection, and Micah played Franklin the Football Player.

Here's a video of that same song:

Jonah and Micah did an awesome job with their class performing this play!!! It was so fun to see, and I was so proud of them for learning all their parts and doing so well! Great job, boys!
Can you tell they weren't happy that I made them take this photo?!!

Mrs. Baker's 4th grade class all smiles after their performance!

Crazy Kiddos!!!
