Church Campout

We always look forward to our Ward's Annual Summer Camp-out at Twin Creeks Campground. There is always great food, good company, and games for the kids! This year it was the 2nd weekend in August. We took our trailer up Friday afternoon, and endured a thunder storm before dinner (I think that happens every year too!!). Then we headed down to the group site where everyone was gathering for the main portion of the camping--the dinner meal, campfire gathering, and games for kids.

Even though it was cold, we all had a great time! Alesondria (aka Aly), a girl from the ward, spent the night with us in our trailer, and she stayed up playing games with me and Amanda. We all enjoy having opportunities to go camping with friends, and I love when I can go camping with Amanda!

The next morning, we went back down the group site for breakfast and mingling. The sun was shining, so we stayed a little longer than most--we had so much fun hanging out that we were one of the last ones to pack up and leave! The boys played games and explored with friends while Josh, Ammon, and I played the card game Phase 10 with Amanda, Aly, and Colton. We had a hilarious time playing with these youth from our ward!

Most of the time we go camping by ourselves, so it's a fun treat for all of us to hang out with people we love while staying overnight in God's country!
