Fun Fall Day

On the last Saturday in October, we had a fun day spent outside in the yard amidst the beautiful fall weather. Uncle Malachi brought some friends and roommates home from college that weekend, and some of our cousins came over as well as a few kids from the neighborhood. The kids (and grown-up kids) played in the leaves and on the hay-bales and had a blast! Originally, our pumpkin patch was supposed to be open that day, but because we sold out of pumpkins the previous weekend, we didn't have to work the entire day, so it was such a blessing to spend time with family and friends. That was the same day that Josh, Ammon, and I processed our dear meat, so while we were busy with that in the shop for a couple hours, cousin Clerissa took some great photos of the fun. Most of these photos are courtesy of Clerissa (thanks, Clerissa!).

Ammon's jump shot--bombarded with leaf throwers from the ground, too!

this is the huge pile of leaves they'd raked up at the bottom of the swing

When Cousin Weaton said he'd push the swing one more time, all the kids came running!

Guess where Ammon is hiding?! ;)

I love this photo that Clerissa took of Kanyon

Kanyon & Abby are best neighbor buddies!

All the kids ventured over to the hay bale maze to play tag on top of the bales.

Even the animals played tag!

Kids both young AND older had fun playing the game!

Playing on grandpa's hay bales is always more fun with friends!
We were so blessed to have great family and friends come over, and it was so wonderful to have nice warm weather that day, too. It was the perfect fall afternoon!
